Black Line is incredibly excited to be coming to Atlanta to deliver a 3 day training course, solely dedicated to match sprint tactics. We will be presenting our guide to tactics, giving riders the knowledge to break down a race and understand how to manipulate it in order to create the situation that they want to be in. Match sprinting is not a lottery but something that can be controlled, we will show you how.
Day 1 ( Track time 18.00-21.00) – 3+ UP RACING
3 up match sprint tactics are key to progress through repechages, minor finals and all manor of racing formats. Crucially, the tactics are completely contrasting to 2 up racing and far more similar to those needed in a Keirin or even a bunch finish. Pass close, use your opponents against each other and attack with surprise,. We will show you how to control the race when you need to, and let it run when you don’t
Day 2 (Track time 13.00-17.00) – 2 UP RACING
2 up racing requires management of height, speed and rider position to control the race and layer it up in a manor that never leaves you exposed. Pause the race, are you in the position you want to be in? By the end of today you will be able to answer that question.
Day 3 (Track time 10.00-14.00) – “RACE DAY”
We will use today to put in to practice the skills and knowledge acquired in days 1 and 2. Freedom to race and make decisions is the aim of the day.
All races will be filmed and analyzed with video feedback to show you “what really happened”. This gives a chance to ask questions and challenge me to answer them! It is your session, every question will be answered so you can make the most of the opportunity to learn how to make the most of your speed. I hope to see you there
