What was going on @ the velodrome today?

And why was it not on the calandar if the track was going to be closed?

The upcoming events on the

The upcoming events on the side says Frazier Juniors...

The schedule says nothing.

The schedule says nothing. Either the schedule is the unifying list of events and closures or it is not. Why is it not on the calendar? You can't expect people to look in three or four different places for information on when the track is open for training or not. This has been discussed ad naseim over the last three years. We have a scheduling calendar and ALL events need to be on it!

I guess I'm just confused --

I guess I'm just confused -- it doesn't say "track closed", but if you go to:

http://www.dicklanevelodrome.com/calendar/2010-05-30

it shows the event. And the upcoming events in the upper left says the same, and

http://www.dicklanevelodrome.com/calendar

that calendar shows it every Sunday.

Was it closed before 3pm? Or were you looking at a different calendar? I'm not trying to pick a fight...

It surely does. I was looking

It surely does. I was looking at the wrong weekend!

Sorry!

FYI and for what it's worth,

FYI and for what it's worth, any special weekend events where the velodrome would be being used by a specific group(ie. not available for everyone), we try to plan those groups after 1pm, so that everybody who is a regular user and trainer at the velodrome on the weekends has the opportunity to get plenty of training done in the mornings each Saturday and Sunday.

All this aside, management would like to stress to all users that they check the schedule before planning to come and do their own training. As we grow our rider base and our event base things are constantly changing, so if everybody checks the schedule, no-one should be dissapointed. If anything, the schedule will be becoming more full, not necessarily less, so it will be more important in the future for everyone to be keeping an eye out for other programs and events that are scheduled.
