Feedback from last nights Win and In

Anybody have feedback on the Win and In race from last night?? Things I'm thinking to change for it, is to have qualifying sprints from 15 all the way down to 0, then display 3 to go for the qualified riders, so would have 5 riders eligble for the final sprint. Thinking about including it in the regular season schedule for next year. Thoughts anyone??

I liked it.
I liked it.
It was definitely something
It was definitely something different, but I did enjoy it. Definitely more fun than a tempo race!
Howzabout...
The racing that last night was a lot of fun. My memory is faulty these days and I was in severe oxygen debt, but the Win & In seemed a lot like a scratch race.
But, what if the winner of each sprint was really IN and could just coast for the rest of the laps instead of treating it like a scratch race and continuing to bash away. Then the remaining riders would regroup for each sprint. After the last of the five sprints, you now have a five-up race of qualifiers with the first sprint winner all happy and well-rested, while the last sprint winner is wishing he'd/she'd worked a little harder earlier. Give it a couple of neutral laps, ring the bell when they're all together and the 1-3 lap sprint is on.
As a side benefit, this version disrupts any collusion or teamwork by say two or three riders who might be able to get out front and take every sprint between them.
To contrast: in a Miss & Out, if you miss a sprint, you rest. In this suggested version of Win & In, if you miss a sprint, you keep racing. In a Miss & Out, if you're in, you keep racing. In this suggested version of Win & In, if you're in, you rest. Kind of opposites, eh?
One more thing - the 2x Miss & Out, where you got to miss twice - very cool! More racing for everyone and that second miss gave the senile among us who need minutes rather than seconds to make tactical decisions a chance to make our fans proud.
Do it...
Jeff, I really enjoyed that race. I think your suggestion to add another sprint and then do 3 laps on the end is a great idea and would make it much more exciting for fans and riders as well as eliminate some confusion.
