Aug 4 Cat D results correction

Although I (Tim Haskew) tried my hardest, I unfortunately do not believe that I won the Cat D points race on Tuesday night as recorded in the results. I won the first sprint lap (lap 10). I do not know for sure who may have been in second, third, ect. I do know that I came in second on the lap 5 sprint and last lap sprint behind Charles Earl. I think Charles then would have been in first place for the race total.

I'm guessing you thought that
I'm guessing you thought that you count the placings? That only occurs if riders are tied on points. so if you had been tied on points then you count the number of 1st place finishes for each rider and the rider with the most breaks the tie - if riders still tied then count # 2nd places. After that it depends on were your racing - at a national level it's the final sprint order (but they use cameras and can place the whole field) as we don't have a camera and we don't always get finishing order - I would use the first rider to place highest in a sprint starting with the last sprint and move up
