Weekly Racing

Here is the breakdown of our normal weekly racing activities. Entry fees for the events are $10 for all of our Tuesday night racing and $15 for our Wednesday night racing. Wednesday nights racing will include one prize for one race per category for the winner of the chosen race. All of our weekly race nights kick off at 7pm with an organised warm-up paceline of 20laps per category. Racing will begin once all of the warm-ups are completed(roughly 7:30pm). Weekly racing is free to watch, so bring your friends and family down to enjoy the racing. Here's what it all looks like:

Tuesday Nights

Our Tuesday night racing program has a 4 week rotation of races.

First Tuesday - MWBC Massed Start Racing

The first Tuesday of each month is massed start racing for Masters(Non-A and 35+), Women, Beginners and Collegiate racers.

Second Tuesday - Sprint Night

Sprint night will be the feature of the second Tuesday of each month. This night will be open to all categories and will consist of a 200m time trial to seed everybody before moving into some group sprints amongst riders of a similar speed.

Third Tuesday - MWBC Massed Start Racing

Same as the first Tuesday of each month, this night will be open to Masters(Non-A and 35+), Women, Beginners and Collegiate racers. Races for the evening will be decided by your host, John Dowd, so be ready for anything!

Fourth Tuesday - Pursuit Night

On the fourth Tuesday of each month, it'll be you against the clock to see how good you really are. Race distances will vary, and will include 500m, 1k, 2k and 3k tt's and pursuits. Take your shot at our track records!

Note that there are usually two fifth Tuesdays during our season and we will be running races on those days. The fifth Tuesday's will be the first day of our two day Working Man's Madison. More info on that here: http://www.dicklanevelodrome.com/pages/workingmansmadison.html

Wednesday Night Racing

Our Wednesday night racing is our normal categorized racing for A, B and C categories and is undergoing a major change-up for 2012. We will be running a 4 week rotation of races and have a great variety of races throughout the scheduling. The races will rotate constantly throughout the race season. Here what they look like:
