Back for 2013 is Dick Lane Velodrome's Pro Race Series(PRS). These events will continue the PRS tradition, bringing to the fore-front the best of the best riders that the US has to offer. They'll be pushing the envelope of speed and danger in both hard charging sprint events and grueling endurance races. Experience the thrill of the two-man Madison, comparable to tag-team on bike, where teammates exchange postions into the action at 40 mph using the dangerous Madison hand sling. Catch the fast-paced Keirin, an Olympic event where riders are paced up to maximum speed with a motorcycle until the final lap and a half when they tear up the track to the finish. The Omnium will also be a featured event. Riders will compete throughout the evening in a series of different events to be claimed DLV's best all rounder. New for 2013 will be the Velodrome Cup, and event that will be featured in ATRA's National Championship Series.

Enjoy a great night out with the family as you get up close and personal with cycling's top athletes!

There is a full service concession stand on site - all proceeds go back to support the DLV programs.

Spectator Information

City ordinances do not allow pets during events.

Our feature events are on the Saturday evening dates above. Racing will start at 3pm with all of the feature events going off from 6pm. Saturday events include a spectator entry fee and an extremely open and awesome concession stand by www.cakehag.com. Menu's will be posted to the website before each event. All Friday events are FREE to watch and start at 7pm.

General Information

Main program kicks off at 6pm, Preview events from 3pm. Races. typically finish around 9pm. We usually do rider introductions at 6pm, so get there a bit early to get you spot before the action commences.

Family entry $10

Ethic, Inc. presents 'The Keirin'

Join us for our first of three Pro Race Series events, ‘The Keirin’. A japanese event based on pure speed, the Keirin will feature six speedsters on the track at a time as the best sprinters go head to head on the track in a blur of speed and excitement. It’s a speed the whole family will enjoy, eat from our great concession stand and enjoy the home of track cycling in Atlanta.

Outback Bikes presents 'The Omnium'

When Outback Bikes presents ‘The Omnium’ you can expect to see a great battle out on the track. The best sprinters will do battle against the best endurance riders throughout the evening to see who is the best all-rounder at the Dick Lane Velodrome. It’s a speed the whole family will enjoy, eat from our great concession stand and enjoy the home of track cycling in Atlanta.

Batdorf & Bronson Velodrome Cup

A new event for 2013, the Batdorf & Bronson Velodrome Cup will be closely related to the Omnium, but with some new twists to the scoring. This event will also be part of the American Track Racing Association's National Championship Series, so the big guns should be a blazin'!

ATTENTION CATEGORY B AND CATEGORY C RIDERS:

The EPVA uses unique categories and this will not be a USCF race. To race at the B or C level you must have raced at the Dick Lane Velodrome or similar velodromes at least 4 times within the last year, if you are unsure, please contact Jeff Hopkins, jeff@dicklanevelodrome.com well in advance. Any riders with questionable equipment or riding ability will be asked not to race at the discretion of the head official. Please do not make the Pro Race weekend your first racing weekend at the Dick Lane Velodrome.
