Back for 2010 is Dick Lane Velodrome's Pro Race Series. These events will continue to put a new spin on our previous Festival's of Speed, bringing to the fore-front the best of the best riders that the US has to offer. They'll be pushing the envelope of speed and danger in both hard charging sprint events and grueling endurance races. Experience the thrill of the two-man Madison, comparable to tag-team on bike, where teammates exchange postions into the action at 40 mph using the dangerous Madison hand sling. Catch the fast-paced Keirin, an Olympic event where riders are paced up to maximum speed with a motorcycle until the final lap and a half when they tear up the track to the finish. The Omnium will also be a featured event. Riders will compete throughout the evening in a series of different events to be claimed DLV's best all rounder.

Enjoy a great night out with the family as you get up close and personal with cycling's top athletes!

There is a full service concession stand on site - all proceeds go back to support the DLV programs.

City ordinances do not allow pets during events.

Admission: $5.00 per person or $10.00 for the complete family

Please note that the Keirin portion of the program will be for 12 invited riders only. However, there will be seperate racing the A's, B's and C's. If you want to be considered for an invitation to the Keirin, please submit race resume to jeff@dicklaneveldrome.com . Those invited riders will also be eligible for the categorised A races.

This event will be open to all riders, and will be based around an Omnium format. Bring your A game.

Please note that the Madison portion of the program will be for 10 teams only. However, there will be separate racing for the A's, B's and C's. If you wish to race the Madison, please contact jeff@dicklanevelodrome.com .

Pro Race Series Season Information

ATTENTION CATEGORY B AND CATEGORY C RIDERS:

The EPVA uses unique categories and this will not be a USCF race. To race at the B level you must have raced at the Dick Lane Velodrome or similar velodrome’s at least 4 times within the last year. Category C races will only be open to those who have raced at the DLV at least 4 times in the current season and are experienced enough to not be a danger on the track. If you are unsure, please contact Jeff Hopkins, jeff@dicklanevelodrome.com well in advance. Any riders with questionable equipment or riding ability will be asked not to race at the discretion of the head official. Please do not make the Pro Race Series weekend your first racing weekend at the Dick Lane Velodrome.

** In the event we exceed the maximum amount of riders in a field, the scratch race will be used as a qualifier. The top 22, 26 or 30 riders based on finishing position will advance on to the remainder of the night’s events. The remaining riders will race a race TBD prior to the beginning of the evening program.
