Our very successful After School Program (Age 8 to 16)
The East Point Velodrome Association is proud to bring back for another year our Bicycle Little League. This exciting summer program will offer all children unique opportunity to enjoy the sport of cycling in a controlled, structured environment. The Bicycle Little League utilizes specially designed bikes to give children ages 8-16 the ride of a lifetime. The Bicycle Little League will be coached by experienced bicycle riders and racers. Children will learn how to safely operate their bikes on the banked track and will have the opportunity to compete under the close supervision of their coaches nightly and under the lights during the Festival of Speed. Goal: To give youth the thrill of racing on the Velodrome, and the opportunity to become our future track competitors.
Who: Kids between the ages of approximately 8-16 years old
What: A racing "League", based on the way the Recreation Department runs their youth programs. Riders will compete against other team members of same ability according to their times and/or age groups.
How: A Head Coach will oversee the program. Coach will be on site at all practices and competitions - parental involvement is encouraged!
Equipment: Bike and Helmet provided
Fees: None - however we do except donations
Waiver: Please bring a parent signed waiver to your first class
No need to call ahead or email us just show up ready to ride.
