Just a couple of notes:

1) Gates open @ 6PM. Warm-up will NOT be organized.
2) Entry is free for OnePass, $10 for volunteers, $20 for non-volunteers.
3) This is a sprint event. ABSOLUTELY NO AERO BARS. Sprint bars only.
4) Sprints will be after the flying lap.
5) Racing begins IMMEDIATELY at 7:30. DO NOT BE LATE

The 2nd installment of our special edition t-shirts exclusively for the DLV by Vanderkitten is being printed as we speak. In honour of the upcoming July 4th celebrations Steve Hill will be hosting his 2nd annual(I think!!) Firecracker Flying Lap. Along with the attempt to set the fastest lap that you can pedal, there will also be the opporunity to set a new track record since we are keeping track of the best times that people are posting. Bring It!!

Thursday July 9th we'll be hosting that weeks pursuit night, instead of it's regular Friday night spot due to the Need for Speed Sprint Tournament. Track will be open from 7:30pm one the Bicycle Little Leaguers finish their session, with racing starting at 8pm. Come get your pursuit on!!

Due the greatness of technology, our schedule had been showing a vacant Tuesday, on 6/30. This is the 5th Tuesday of June, and since Melissa runs the 1st and 3rd, and John and Marty run the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, this 5th showed up vacant. Not to worry though, we will have the regularly scheduled Tuesday races run by one of the crew, so be there or be square. Schedule is here

The folks from the Carolina Track Cycling Assocition(CTCA) are proud to announce their Mellowdrome Championships event to be held on the 25th and 26th of July. Some excited legs last night at the track saw all of our Scratch Race records broken. Bobby Costello broke the C's 5 Mile record by about 30s to set a new time of 11m 26.25sec. In the B's it was Jason Jones taking the record and the cash with a new time of 18m 43.44sec. Steve Carrell rode away with the new A's 10 mile record with a time of 21m 12.84sec taking 2 mins off the old record.

Jeff Hopkins Hopcoach clinic this coming Friday will be changed from Sprint Skills to Madison due to the incliment weather we've had so far this year we haven't been able to get any of the Madison clinics done. So bring your partners and doeseedoe on Friday. Please only attend if you feel like you'd be comfortable with slinging another rider around the track.
